Guyde is a life-long resident of Providence. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and holds a BSBA degree in Accounting from Bryant University and an MBA from Providence College. Prior to retiring in 2008, he was employed in the Finance Dept. of Providence College for 30 years, most recently in the position of Controller.
Guyde has previously served as a Board member at Capital City Community Centers, and for many years prior to the affiliation of Capital City and Gateway, served as Board Treasurer at Capital City. He is a Communicant of St. Pius V Church where he serves as Chair of the Finance Committee. He is also a Quartermaster at VFW Post 10011.
