Elaine Dorazio

Chair

Elaine is a Senior Management Analyst with the Rhode Island Supreme Court, where she has been employed since 1987. In her capacity she oversees the Domestic Violence Training and Monitoring Unit which gathers statistics on domestic violence, sexual assaults and child molestations for the State of Rhode Island as required by the RI Domestic Violence Prevention Act of 1988.  Information obtained feeds into a data base that creates reports to supply statistics to many outlets including many RI non-profit agencies, the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence, RI Kids Count, law enforcement agencies and research students and agencies throughout the country.

Elaine has been actively involved in volunteerism for many years.  Since 1993, she has been instrumental in the success of Capital City’s Annual Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program, and with the support of colleagues within the court system, helped ensure holiday gifts are available for some 300+ Capital City children each year.
